Enterprising People
Stepping out of my comfort zone to deliver a four-to-five minute presentation, learning what it truly means to behave like an enterprising person.
What I took away
In Project 1, I learned what it truly means to behave like an enterprising person by stepping out of my comfort zone to deliver a four-to-five minute presentation. Through this project, I discovered that being an enterprising individual involves taking initiative, facing fears, and communicating with confidence. I learned how to create clean, simple, and effective visual slide decks using dedicated presentation software rather than relying on standard design templates. Furthermore, I developed crucial presentation strategies, such as projecting my voice, maintaining a relaxed posture, and pacing myself without relying heavily on written notes. Ultimately, this project taught me that the key to a successful presentation is actively engaging the audience and conveying information in a unique, informed, and personalized way.
"My Basketball Journey"
This image displays the minimalist layout of my Google Slides presentation titled "My Basketball Journey". It demonstrates my understanding of effective visual content because each slide focuses on clean, personalized imagery that supports my spoken words rather than distracting the audience with dense text. By keeping the slides visually simple, I ensured that the focus remained on my delivery and storytelling.
Live speaking in front of the class
This photo captures me delivering my presentation live in front of the class, showing my growth in public speaking and audience engagement. It proves my ability to present with confidence by maintaining a calm posture, speaking without reading from a script, and facing the audience directly. This moment highlights my successful execution of an enterprising mindset by managing presentation nerves to clearly share a personal project.
